Natural Surface Marston Marble, Ivory Creek Variscite, 18k gold and Sterling Silver Handmade Pendant Necklace
Natural Surface Marston Marble, Ivory Creek Variscite, 18k gold and Sterling Silver Handmade Pendant Necklace
The largest stone is Natural surface Marston marble from Somerset, England. Marston marble contains ammonite fossils from the Jurassic period. The colors of the Marston marble are accented with an ivory creek variscite cabochon below. The spiral pattern of the ammonite is repeated in a solid 18k gold accent where the stones intersect. I added a texture to the gold spiral to match with the rough surface of the stone above. both stones can also be viewed through holes in the setting at the back of the pendant.
The necklace is handmade out of 18k gold and sterling silver, which has been given a brushed, oxidized patina. The 18k gold areas include two prongs on the left of the Marston marble and the gold spiral below.
The pendant is approximately 1 5/8 tall by 1 3/16 inches wide.
The chain measures 20 inches but can be adjusted to 18 or 19 inches using the hook claps and rings. However, I can adjust the chain to any length that you would prefer
