Two stunning, high grade ivory creek variscite cabochons are set in sterling silver, which has been given an oxidized brushed finish. The stones are a cool white with dark brown webbing and golden tones. Each earring measures approximately 1/2 inch by 5/16 inch.
Ivory Creek variscite is a rare, natural gemstone from Kazakhstan where a small father-and-son team mines the stone by hand. Harsh weather allows workers to access the mine for only a few months each year. known for its soft neutral colors, the stone displays shades of ivory, creamy white, golden tones or soft blue. It typically includes delicate dark brown, black webbing patterns.
All of the gemstones in the collection are thoughtfully sourced and selected by me and each piece is crafted by hand in my Hudson Valley, New York studio.
